Privacy Policy

RepOut is made by Sawir Studio LLC ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the RepOut app for iPhone and iPad.

The short version

We do not collect any personal data. RepOut has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. What you record stays on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account, which we cannot access.

Information stored on your device

To work, RepOut stores the following only on your device:

Your streak history: when each streak started and ended.
Urges you log: the time, the drill you chose and any reps you counted.
Achievements you've unlocked and when.
Your settings, such as whether Apple Health export is turned on.

This information is kept in the app's private storage and is protected by your device's encryption. It is never sent to us. Your device's own backups, such as iCloud Backup, may include it according to your device settings.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, RepOut syncs this information to your private iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit) so it is available on your other devices. It is stored in your iCloud account, under Apple's privacy and security protections, and we cannot see or access it. To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for RepOut in Settings › [your name] › iCloud.

Widgets

To show your streak in widgets, the app shares two values with its widget on your device: the date your current streak started and your longest streak. Widgets use neutral wording because they can be seen on your Home Screen and Lock Screen.

Apple Health

Apple Health export is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, RepOut saves drills you finish to Apple Health as workouts (strength, interval training and walking) and mindful minutes. RepOut only writes to Apple Health and never reads any Health data.

Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never shared with or sold to third parties, and never stored by us. You can review or delete these entries, and turn off RepOut's access, in the Health app at any time.

Notifications and Live Activities

RepOut can show a notification when a drill finishes while the app is in the background, and a countdown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island for longer drills. These are created on your device. No push notification service is used.

Sharing

Monthly and yearly recaps are generated on your device from the information above. You can choose to share an image of your streak or the last page of a recap. Images are created on your device and show only your streak length, reps, training time, your recap persona and the app name. Nothing is shared unless you pick where to send it.

Accountability partner

If you choose to share your streak with a partner, RepOut uses Apple's iCloud sharing (CloudKit) to share a single record with the people you invite: the nickname you pick, when your current streak started and your best streak. Nothing else is shared, including your logged drills, times or reps. You can stop sharing at any time from the Profile tab, and a partner can remove your streak from theirs.

Instagram Stories

If you tap "Share to Instagram Stories", the image you chose is handed to the Instagram app on your device. From then on, Instagram's own privacy policy applies to it.

Third parties

RepOut contains no third-party SDKs, analytics or advertising services. Sharing to Instagram uses Instagram's public URL scheme, not an SDK.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its data from that device. To also remove the copy in iCloud, go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › RepOut and delete its data. Entries already saved to Apple Health are managed in the Health app.

Children

RepOut is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
